Prior to Angie’s BOOM CHICKA POP, he served in the retail industry for over 20 years for General Mills, Clorox, and Mars Petcare. At Mars, he managed over $600M in revenue across multiple sales teams.

Joshua Bowling

Joshua is the Vice-President of Operations & Finance for the Cyber Physical Systems, Inc. He specializes in functional and industry expertise in the areas of early-stage operational strategies, financial analysis & forecasts, technology & cash flow optimization, business development & brand structure, cost reduction efforts, global business partnerships, complex negotiations, vendor & contractor management, staff development initiatives, and organization efficiencies. Danny Lee

Armed with an Accounting degree and a Master of Science from John Hopkins University, Danny brings significant experience in data analytics.  He began his career studying biological and genetic data relating to cancer and AIDS. He had a brief stint at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in the Biotech Group examining animal vaccines efficacy and trial data. After 10 years examining biological and genetic data, Danny studied tax and accounting data to see if there is an efficient method to protect personal private information while maintaining data integrity for retrieval.

In 1997 during the Internet boom, Danny cofounded TelnetWireless Inc, a telecommunications company that was poised to build a wireless broadband network to deploy high speed internet access services for enterprises in the commercial buildings. During the late 90s as the demand for high speed internet increased, he created a more efficient solution that allowed enterprises to access high speed wireless internet without having to wait for months, years for fiber-optic accessibility. Danny was instrumental in building strategic partnerships with large manufacturing telecom giants like Nortel Networks, Erikson, etc. in addition securing vendor financings from them.

Almost five years ago, Danny began to explore how Blockchain technology could be applied to data analytics.  He now dedicates his time to Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies while researching for various use cases.  In 2017, Danny co-founded Secure Identity Ledger Corporation (SILC), a company that has built its own scalable permissioned blockchain platform that aims to create a sustainable and effective ecosystem that can be applied to various industries.

Ari Chanen, PhD

Dr. Ari Chanen is presently Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Strayer Education, Inc. He holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He earned his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Sydney. He was the 2016 recipient of the Best Professional Paper at Integrated Communications Navigation and Surveillance Conference (ICNS) for his paper “Deep Learning for Extracting Word-Level Meaning from Safety Report Narratives.” He was awarded a 3 ½ year Capital Markets Cooperative Research Center (CMCRC) scholarship, a 3 year National Science Foundation graduate fellowship, the Martin Prize for best undergraduate thesis of MIT Computer Science Department, and runner-up for best undergraduate thesis in the MIT EECS Department. He has been published seven times for his works pertaining to Natural Language Processing, Algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Ari is presently Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Strayer Education, Inc. Ari is a skilled and enthusiastic leader in the informed adoption of artificial intelligence technology to help bring about new efficiencies and new capabilities and to help improve a company’s bottom line. Ari has deep experience as an AI researcher and application developer in the areas of deep-learning, natural language processing (NLP), text mining/classification, deep-learning and automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. Mark E Hitt, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM

Dr. Mark Hitt is a graduate of Iowa State University, receiving his DVM in 1979.  He completed his veterinary internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri in 1986. He then went on to become the first internal medicine assistant professor in the Department of Companion Animal Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College – University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. While teaching he earned an MS in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology. He was promoted to associate professor and was granted tenure.  In 1992, he returned with his family to Maryland where he started an internal medicine and oncology specialty practice (Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology). This practice joined with other specialty groups to form the umbrella organization of Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center, LLC which has now expanded to Towson and Columbia. Doctor Hitt is Medical Director and head of medicine for AVIM&O. He contributes to numerous veterinary textbooks and lectures on various topics of Veterinary Internal Medicine to local, regional and national veterinary meetings. Although practicing in all areas of internal medicine, his particular interests are in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, and techniques of abdominal ultrasound and forms of endoscopy.

Diane Quinn
